Course description
This course is designed to provide a specific focus to the director on top management issues that have financial implications and those that are frequently discussed as part of board room responsibilities. These issues will be treated to prepare the director to deal with them with senior management and the chief executive of the organization.

In the course of fulfilling their responsibilities and roles, as well as avoid legal penalties, they need to conduct their office with appropriate understanding of the financial consequences of their decisions and their approval of issues submitted to them by the company’s chief executive and top management.

Course requirement

This is preparatory program to prepare one for the responsibilities of a director at the board. The program provides the director from a non-finance background a frame work to understand the financial implications of common board room finance issues, and develop financial thinking that leads to better financial risk judgement. Poor understanding would render the director less effective in evaluating business results and financial investment proposals. This also means it heightens the risks the director is undertaking under the company legislation.
