Course Description

This course is designed for banking executives to equip them with the knowledge and skills of business lending for small and medium enterprises.  In the course of fulfilling their responsibilities and roles, they need to conduct research, gather information, analyze and structure lending propositions for the bank’s approval. A minimum level of knowledge and skills in credit assessment is required to perform effectively for business lending roles of the credit officer.

Program descriptionThis is a special skills development program for all banking officers involved in assessing and recommending loans and credit facilities to small and medium size enterprises in the country’s economy. The SME segment forms a very large part of the national economy. The SME businesses collectively form more than 95% of the total number of businesses in most economies. As a result lending opportunities are abundant but there are higher risks as well.
